Without the right products and services in place, however, your indoor air quality can actually be worse than that of outdoors. This is particularly true if you have a home that was built within the last few decades. Modern homes are built very “tightly” to allow for maximum HVAC efficiency, by not allowing any conditioned air to escape.

But while no conditioned air escapes, neither does
allergens, pollutants, or even dust and dirt. This is especially lousy news for
allergy and asthma sufferers! Even the healthiest person can start feeling
pretty bad if the air quality in the household is poor.

“But, my HVAC System Has an Air Filter”

You’re right, it down. Did you know, however, that the
purpose of this air filter isn’t to
improve your indoor air quality? It certainly doesn’t hurt your air quality
efforts, but the actual purpose of this air filter is to block the HVAC system
itself from dirt and debris that can get inside its components and cause
friction, plus restrict airflow.

This filter is of course important! You should be changing
it out every 1-3 months to help protect both your air conditioner and
forced-air heater. It’s just important to understand that it’s not doing a
whole lot to improve air quality.

The Answer: A Whole-House Air Purifier

When you envision an air purifier, you might be seeing a
small room unit you can purchase from a hardware store and stick on a small
side table or dresser. These aren’t a bad idea to have for your home—that is,
for a single room. However, these portable air purifiers aren’t going to give
you significant results.

Rather, you should consider the installation of a
whole-house air purifier, whether it’s an electronic air cleaner, UV air
purifier, or both.

Why do we recommend this?

Whole-House Air
Purifiers are Cost-Efficient. Small, portable air purifiers can only handle
a room or two at one time. Yes, we suppose you could purchase multiple units
and put them in various places around your home, but we guarantee you that
unless you live in a small studio apartment, a whole-house system is going to
be much more cost-efficient.

Additionally, with a whole-house air purifier, you don’t have to worry about replacing the filters and maintaining several portable systems. Instead, you have just one system, that is integrated directly into your HVAC system, and can be accessed and maintained by your trusted HVAC professional.

Whole-House Systems
Are Convenient. A whole-house air purifier can usually be integrated right
into your HVAC system, as we mentioned above, or into your ductwork. This means
you don’t have to worry about taking up any space with portable units, nor do
you have to worry about the noise associated with portable air purifiers.

Lastly, you’ll have uniform air quality throughout your
home, 24/7.

For a reliable and skilled Toledo, OH HVAC company, contact AW Heating & Cooling!

Without the right products and services in place, however, your indoor air quality can actually be worse than that of outdoors.

[79
113,99
post-534","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-indoor-air-quality-service","tag-hvac-company","tag-toledo
["GET
